Daruma Countdown

Set a goal and a deadline, and a one-eyed daruma with the days left appears on your widget. When you reach your goal, trace the empty eye with your finger to paint it in.

FAQ

Does it cost anything?

The app is free. There are no in-app purchases. You can keep up to 10 daruma, including the ones on your Shelf. When you reach the limit, delete one or watch a rewarded ad to add one more slot.

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold the Home Screen, tap "+", choose "Daruma Countdown", and pick a size. You can also add it to the Lock Screen. Choose which daruma to show in the widget's settings.

The widget doesn't update.

iOS decides when widgets refresh, so changes can take a little while to appear after you add or edit a goal. If it still doesn't update, open the app once and return to the Home Screen.

How do I paint the eye (complete a goal)?

Open the daruma, choose "Paint the eye", and trace the empty eye with your finger. Daruma with both eyes painted are displayed on the "Shelf" with a tag showing the goal name and the date you achieved it.

Where is my data stored? Can I use it on other devices?

Your data is stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, it is synced between your devices through iCloud (CloudKit) under your own Apple Account. No account registration is required.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete each daruma from its detail screen. Deleting the app removes the data on your device. Data stored in iCloud can be removed in iOS Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage.

How do I change my ad consent?

In the EEA, the UK and some other regions, you can review your ad consent from "Ad privacy choices" in the app's settings. Without your consent, no ad is shown and no slot is added. Only non-personalized ads are shown.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later.
